Careers in Plumbing

Plumbers assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, sewage, and drainage systems in accordance with specifications and codes. They also maintain sanitary facilities and install lavatories, toilets, kitchen fixtures, drinking fountains, and laundry equipment. As an essential, in-demand trade, plumbing offers access to high-paying careers with strong job security—often without the burden of student loan debt.

WHAT IT TAKES

Your future looks bright!

Before acceptance into our apprenticeship program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 17 years or older to apply
  • Provide copy of birth certificate
  • Provide high school diploma and transcripts or GED with scores
  • Have at least one year of algebra or geometry with a passing grade
  • Present a valid driver’s license or photo ID
  • Copy of military discharge form DD-214, if applicable
